Mom – Plant Science Revisited

We have been very busy getting everything ready for our Mother’s Day Lunch on Friday. They are very proud of what they are doing, and I hope that all of our mom’s will be able to join us! Today we checked the progress of our plant science experiments! We found out that grass seed does not have to have dirt to grow, ours grew on a wet sponge with a lot of sunlight. The children were right on their predictions of the grass seed in the cups… the seeds that didn’t get any water, but sunlight didn’t do anything. The two that we watered did grow, even the one that didn’t get sunlight. So now we know the most important thing plants need to grow is water. Our herb garden is starting to sprout and our sunflowers are doing awesome, they will be ready to send home soon!
