4th of July Science

Today was a day of science experiments. We did Exploding Art on the playground. Everyone may come home smelling like a pickle because we all got vinegar on us! It was fun watching the bags fill up and pop! http://www.growingajeweledrose.com/2013/04/paintbombs.html We also did an experiment with milk, red and blue food coloring and dish soap… http://www.coolscience.org/CoolScience/KidScientists/tiedyemilk.htm This is something that you should try at home! They loved it! We put the dish soap on a toothpick and the kiddos all got a chance to stick the toothpick in the milk. We called it fireworks in our milk. I posted a short video and more pictures on our facebook page – https://www.facebook.com/plaacademy. Have a wonderful and safe 4th of July! We will see you Monday for Kids in the Kitchen week!
